As a teacher, I know how important good education is for people and for society more broadly. But beyond good education, a free and happy country depends on world-class research, a flourishing cultural sector and a thriving media landscape. It is therefore an honour to have the opportunity to work on behalf of journalists, students, creators, researchers and teachers. The future of our country is in their hands, and I want to give them the right tools.
