Compensation for the Expropriation of SNS REAAL and SNS Bank

Compensation payments for the expropriation of SNS REAAL and SNS Bank are being made by the State Consignation Fund. A special claim form should be used to request payment. This page explains who is eligible for compensation and where to send your completed claim form.

Conditions for compensation

Holders of the following expropriated securities and assets are eligible for compensation:

  • Holders of expropriated subordinated bonds of SNS REAAL and SNS Bank;
  • Certain holders of expropriated third series participation certificates who were not already fully compensated by SNS Bank in 2013;
  • Holders of certain expropriated loans.

An overview of the amount of compensation payments, ISIN and technical codes and a sample calculation of the statutory interest can be found at the bottom of this page. The Enterprise Division of Amsterdam Court of Appeal has ruled that shares in SNS REAAL are of no value. Holders of expropriated shares will therefore not receive any compensation.
