Which donor information can be requested?

  • Children under the age of 12 (in Dutch) may not request information themselves. However, their parents may request the donor’s physical and social data. Physical characteristics include, for example, the donor’s height, hair colour, and eye colour. Social characteristics might include the donor’s education and living situation (e.g. whether the donor is married).
  • Children aged 12 to 15 (in Dutch) may personally request the donor’s physical and social characteristics.
  • From the age of 16 (in Dutch), you may request the donor’s physical and social characteristics. You can also request the donor’s first name, surname, date of birth, and place of residence. This is the donor’s identifying information.
When making your request, you can also indicate whether you would like to be put in contact with half-siblings; children who share the same donor as you.
