Acute effects of particulate matter nitrogen dioxide and ozone in the Netherlands
This report includes research into the acute negative health impacts of short-term exposure to air pollution. The trend in daily mortality due to air pollution was investigated and was shown to decrease in line with drop in concentrations of air pollutants. A pilot study was done looking at a method to more easily estimate what the acute health impacts are of air pollution. An exploratory study also examined the possibility of identifying groups and areas of high risk. More research into this topic is recommended.
