The end evaluation of the multi-donor support to the Global Center on Adaptation shows good results (for instance influencing high-level political willingness to address climate adaptation in Africa) as well as areas for improvement (for instance in monitoring the attribution of GCA's contribution to programs of International Finance Institutions).
The activity was initiated in a time when climate action and finance were primarily focused on mitigation rather than adaptation. The results of this evaluation are incorporated in the design of the AAAP2.0 and the efforts to further build the Global Center on Adaptation.
